此前有报道称，贝尔坦斯将跟随勇士备战新赛季，不过名记Stein也曾表示，勇士要先对贝尔坦斯进行试训，之后再决定是否给他发出训练营合同。

贝尔坦斯上赛季效力于雷霆和黄蜂，场均6.7分1.4板，三分命中率38.0%。
